New Year's Resolutions 2012

If you know me, you know that I think that running and cupcakes pair together quite nicely. Don't believe me? Well, I set a personal half-marathon record the day after I ate 32 cupcakes at the LA Cupcake Challenge last year. (Check out my post and newspaper article here.) So it's no surprise that my New Year's Resolutions for 2012 are split between cupcakes and running.

New Year's Resolution #1: Cut out all soda in 2012 (boo! I'm already regretting this one)

New Year's Resolution #2: Run a marathon, either in a full-distance Ironman or stand-alone. If by itself, run under 4 hours.

New Year's Resolution #3: Visit and review one new cupcake shop every month.

New Year's Resolution #4: Run a 6:15 mile (not in a race).

What are your New Year's Resolutions for 2012? Do you usually keep them?

Your Favorite Searches of 2009

Hard to believe that the year is over. I guess what they say is true...time goes by faster the older you get. To celebrate the end of the year, here are the top 10 most popular pages viewed by you on my blog.

This is a new cupcakery in Orange so it makes sense that people are buzzing about it.

Looks like you are curious about the most popular cupcake shops in Orange County. Was yours on the list?

#8 Review: Crumbs Bake Shop
My first trip to Crumbs was heavenly. I've been back several times since.

#7 Diva's Cupcakes and Coffee
I was fairly surprised to see so much interest in a cupcakery from Utah, especially since I'm based in Orange County. But I've noticed that the cupcake world has really expanded in Utah over the past year.

You can always find some cutely-decorated cupcakes at Whole Food, but it's true about people calling it Whole Paycheck.

#5 The Sprinkles Truck is Here!
The concept of cupcake trucks exploded this year! Although it's been happening in New York for quite a while, Sprinkles was one of the first to bring it to the west coast.

Looks like you guys are making cupcakes more often for holiday parties!

There are some great ideas for decorating Halloween cupcakes.

Cold Stone introduced ice cream cupcakes to us this year and they were a hit! What a great idea of combining ice cream and cupcakes.

...and the most popular post was #1 Red Velvet Cookies
Red Velvet is one of the most popular flavors of cupcakes, but how about putting it in cookie form? The result....delicious!

Goodbye 2009. Hello 2010.
Looking forward to many more cupcake adventures this next year. Happy New Year!
