Success at The Perfect Circle Cupcakery

I have stopped by my local cupcakery (The Perfect Circle in the Orange Circle) several times since it opened in December. This weekend I was finally able to secure a Red Velvet cupcake! And it was wonderful! The cake was super moist and the cream cheese frosting was near-perfect. I think there needs to be a little more frosting on the cupcake to maintain a good cake-to-frosting ratio. Besides that, this cupcake lives up to its hype.

I'm looking forward to visiting this cupcakery while we are in Southern California this weekend! Yum! What is your fav cuppie there? email me if you get a chance:lmsmiley@surewest.net or http://smileyssweetsandcreations.blogspot.com/

Oh, update on the Starbucks cuppies: I saw a chocolate one here in Sacramento. Didn't try it because I had made some at home...but Cupcakes Take the Cake posted today and Rachel seems to like them. Kinda surprised... their baked goods aren't always that great. But good news, I suppose!

i wish they had better hours...i'm a cupcake-a-holic as well and was desperately craving one over the weekend, stopped by, but it was too early. they need to have hours like Sprinkles and open at 9am for us addicts! =)

My favorites:

SusieCakes-their frosting-filled cupcakes are my favorite. Try the peanut butter one or their flavor of the month.

The Perfect Circle-red velvet or chocolate coconut

Sprinkles-everything is good there but I love the pumpkin

Enjoy your visit to California and let me know what you try!

Cheryl- I know what you mean about the hours. I always have a craving late at night. Plus, all of the good flavors are gone at the end of the day.

Cheryl- I am always looking for a cupcake partner. My husband doesn't share the same amount of passion for cupcakes as I do.
