Cannolis for the Super Bowl

We always get invited to the BEST Super Bowl party. The reason I love it so much is because they always provide food from the host city cuisine. This year was New York, so the theme was New York/New Jersey. 

I was asked to bring a dessert. New York cheesecake just seemed too easy, so I decided to try something else. Someone suggested cannolis to me (you know....Jersey...Italian...it works, right?), but I figured that would be too hard. BUT all I really needed was to be pointed in the right direction.

Claro's Italian Market in Tustin, CA had everything I needed to make this happen. Pre-made cannoli shells and ready-to-go cannoli filling. Perfect! They were a hit and everyone thought I "made" them. Sure...

What are you baking for Thanksgiving?

Of course I'm in charge of desserts for Thanksgiving...I'm practically the only one in my husband's family that likes desserts. I know, they're weird.

Since I'm going to be the only one going light on dinner so I have more room for dessert, I'm making my favorite desserts. This includes Pioneer Woman's Caramel Pumpkin Gingersnap Cheesecake. It's wonderful, it's heavenly, it's the perfect Thanksgiving dessert, and it's way better than just plain old pumpkin pie.

Looking for Baby Shower Dessert Ideas

My little sister is a baby-making machine! She has already produced the cutest little baby boy ever and now she is ready to pop with baby #2. This time she's having a girl. How perfect!

I'm throwing a baby shower for her in less than two weeks. I put myself in charge of making the desserts. I would like to have three desserts, one of them being cupcakes (of course).

I'm looking for two delicious desserts (brownies, cookies, cake, etc) and a cute decorating idea for cupcakes. The theme for the baby shower is the ocean/beach. Any ideas?
