B Sweet Mobile Spotted on "The Bachelorette"

I'm going to admit something I thought I never would: my husband watches "The Bachelorette." And since the TV is on, I watch it too.

While Desiree was on her first one-on-one date with Brooks, I was surprised to spot B Sweet Catering on the show. I first discovered B Sweet Catering two years ago when I got the amazing opportunity to tour their kitchen and taste their treats (full post here). Since then, B Sweet has been roaming the streets of LA in their own dessert truck.

The episode didn't expand much on what they ordered at B Sweet, but I later found photos on Barb's B Sweet Instagram. Desiree and Brooks received special bride and groom cupcakes from B Sweet Mobile truck. So cute!

Continuing coverage of the event extended to the next day when Barb and her truck were featured on E! News. How exciting for her! Congrats Barb and B Sweet!

Review: B Sweet Catering

You can also see this post on Cupcakes Take the Cake

Last week I introduced you to B Sweet Catering. They are a catering company based in Los Angeles that recently stepped into the food truck world. I met up with Barb and Kurt at their kitchen in LA to see what B Sweet Catering was all about. I found great cupcakes (and bread) made by great people. I love that!

I got to tour their kitchen. And let me tell you, it was a dream kitchen for any baker. From the gigantic walk-in cooler to the hundreds of utensils...

...to the giant mixer. This kitchen had everything!

Barb had some special cupcakes set aside just for me. I LOVE how she incorporated B Sweet into the Cupcake Activist banner. So cute!

Lucky for my friends, we stopped by the B Sweet kitchen on our way to a party so I got to share the cupcakes with everyone! I get asked quite frequently why cupcakes are so popular. I think it's because everyone has a special memory of a cupcake from their childhood. How do I know this? When I see a room of adults break into huge smiles when they see cupcakes, I know that cupcakes are special.

Lots of flavors to choose from. It was hard to pick which ones I wanted to eat. Yes, I would have liked to try them all, but after a huge dinner from Pinches Tacos in LA, my stomach said "no way."

Chocolate Bacon
Chocolate Fudge

Oreo
Green Tea

Reese's Peanut Butter Cup
Orange Carrot

Red Velvet

Girl Scout specialty cupcakes
Thin Mint
Samoa

Also included:
Mocha
Vanilla Bean
S'mores

Pink Lemonade

Chocolate Ganache

The crowd consensus was: we love these cupcakes! Some of our favorites were: Mocha, Vanilla Bean, Chocolate Fudge, and Pink Lemonade. My personal favorite was the Chocolate Fudge, which reminded me of Texas sheet cake. I also really enjoyed the Girl Scouts cupcakes, as these are my two favorite flavors of Girl Scout cookies.

One of my favorite items of the night is one that's not pictured: Chocolate Chip Banana Bread. I could eat this every day! It was so moist and perfect.

B Sweet is a catering company that sells delicious homemade desserts. You can also find their desserts and savory food sold on the Go Country Chuck Wagon. Hopefully we will see them roaming the streets of Orange County soon, so I can get some more of their yummy treats.

Meet B Sweet Catering

B Sweet Catering is a local catering company based out of Los Angeles which specializes in old-fashioned, homemade desserts. B Sweet Catering was voted Best Dessert in Los Angeles by Citysearch, so you know they have to be good.

Not only does B Sweet have the "sweetest, best, tastiest, moistest, yummiest desserts made by scratch, by hand, daily," they also have a savory menu with sandwiches, snacks, salads, sushi, and savory meals.

The most recent development in the B Sweet story is the addition of the Go Country 105 FM Chuck Wagon. B Sweet has paired up with Go Country radio station to create a food truck that serves country food, along with their award-winning desserts. The truck currently roams LA, but they plan on coming to Orange County soon too.

The Chuck Wagon food menu looks amazing! Chili & Cornbread, Stuffed Fried Jalapenos, Fried Mac & Cheese, Pulled Pork Sliders, Fried Chicken, Cajun Fried Catfish, Pot Pit, Fried Picked Chips, Swet Potato Fries, Go Global Tacos (tacos from around the world), 12 kinds of sandwiches, cupcakes, funnel cakes, Sweet Potato Pie & much, much more!

I met Barb, the owner of B Sweet Catering, and Kurt last weekend and got the whole rundown of the truck. I seriously can't wait to try their food! Depending on the event, some days its just savory, some days just desserts. They will be coming to Orange County soon, but you can find them in Los Angeles right now.

Not only did I get to meet Barb and Kurt, I also got to sample some of the baked goods, including their cupcakes! I'll have the full review up soon.
