Today is my favorite holiday of the year! It's starts off with a local 5k, followed by a pancake breakfast, then swimming at my parent's house, BBQ dinner, and finished with a fireworks show. I hope your day is just as fun!

Time for the Red, White, and Blue

One of my favorite holidays of the year is the 4th of July. I love feeling patriotic. I love fireworks. I love swimming. I love barbecuing. I love red, white, and blue desserts. Every year I see some creative 4th of July cupcakes. Remember cupcake kabobs two years ago? Awesome. This year I found a few more to add to my 4th of July dessert list.

Happy 4th of July!

I'm pretty sure this is the first time I'm celebrating the 4th of July outside of California. Feels kinda weird, but I don't mind enjoying the festivities while lounging on the beach. 4th of July Cupcake Kabobs

Local Shops Celebrate the 4th of July with Cupcakes

Looking for cupcakes to celebrate the 4th of July in Orange County? You won't have to look far. Patriotic cupcakes can be found almost anywhere. Here are a few from some of the top cupcakes shops in Orange County:

Wonderland Bakery
I saw this cupcake on their website. I'm sure they will have other cupcakes available in their Newport Beach store. Average cost per cupcake $3.75

Meringue Bake Shop
Made-to-order cupcakes or mini cupcakes at Bliss Yogurt in Orange.

SusieCakes
"Fireworks" Vanilla Cupcake or 4th of July Red Velvet. Cupcakes are $3.00 each at Newport Beach store. They also have so many other delicious desserts to choose from.

Sprinkles
Be patriotic with the Lemon Blueberry cupcake. Available June 26-July 3 for $3.25 each, also in Newport Beach.

Crumbs
Special 4th of July cupcake with proceeds going to the USO to support our troops. Vanilla cake with chocolate filling and vanilla cream cheese frosting. The closest shop is in LA, but worth the drive. $3.75 each.

Fourth of July Cupcakes
