Tour de Cupcake

This is my kind of race!

I usually treat myself to a cupcake or two after a big race, but the Tour de Cupcake knows that what I really want is a cupcake during the race! During this bike race there are 10 checkpoints. At each checkpoint, you are given the option of eating one or more cupcakes. For each cupcake you eat, you get a deduction off your total race time. (No details on race distance or time deductions.) Cupcakes during the race! Why hasn't anyone else thought of this? I seriously thought about flying to San Francisco for the weekend just so I could combine two of my favorite things!

This sounds like such a fun and creative twist on a traditional race. The idea of combining cycling with cupcakes at checkpoints makes the whole experience feel less intense and more enjoyable. It’s not just about speed anymore, but also about strategy and indulgence along the way.

I like how it adds a playful challenge—deciding whether to stop for a cupcake and get a time deduction or keep pushing forward. It turns a race into something memorable rather than purely competitive. Honestly, events like this make fitness feel more accessible and exciting.

It’s easy to see why you’d even consider traveling for it. Mixing two favorite things like cycling and cupcakes in one event is hard to resist, and it definitely sounds like a weekend worth experiencing. If you’re curious to learn more about unique races like this, you can always
